Nina Simone, one of the best voices in my opinion and a political animal of the time. There is a nice ­c­o­m­p­i­l­a­t­i­o­n called forever Nina. Recently used in Kill bill the sinner man song ­r­e­m­a­s­t­e­r­e­d and they cut out a huge amount of the track.

Oscar Peterson, one of the greatest Jazz Pianists and certainly one of the prettiest sounds. Hymn to Freedom is a sublime piece expertly executed here. The Album I have with this on it is called Night Train pretty famous album if you don't have it get it.
